An iaito is a Japanese sword designed for training and practice, serving as a precursor to using a katana. It resembles a katana in appearance but is blunted and lacks a sharp edge, making it safer for beginners to handle as they progress in their martial arts training.
This particular iaito is made of 9260 Spring Steel with enhanced performance and toughness through its oil-quenching heat treatment process. The deep tome Hi reduces weight, making it light and fast. With each swing, experience a satisfying "whooshing" sound as the blade cuts through the air. The removable handle is tightly wrapped in quality cotton ito to provide a superb grip that will withstand years of practice.
