An iaito is a Japanese training sword used for practicing forms, drawing techniques, and controlled movements. Unlike a live katana, the blade is blunt, making it better suited for iaido practice and training.
This iaito has a classic black katana-style appearance and is made from 1050 heat-treated steel. The blade is blunt and built with full tang construction for added durability during regular practice.
The fittings are made from cast iron, and the tsuka is wrapped with authentic rayskin. The blade also features a cosmetic hamon for a more traditional appearance.
