This katana offers an economical yet high-performing cutting sword, crafted using traditional and durable iron fittings and construction methods. The blade is forged from T10 steel and differentially tempered (59HRc edge, 40HRc back), with a prominent hamon that is fully hand-polished.
The tsuka features genuine Same (rayskin), with hishigami applied for precision and a tsuka-maki design specially developed for its superior grip, featuring an extremely tight ito wrap and full geometry. The long tang is double-pegged for added security.
The tsuba has an elegant iron "simplicity" design, complemented by a brass habaki. The saya is finished with a deep black lacquer and paired with a high-quality, thick black sageo.
