Tamahagane steel is prized for its toughness, sharpness, and ability to hold a keen edge. It also plays an important role in creating the distinct hamon, or temper line, on the blade during the heat-treating process. This katana is not only a functional sword, but also a symbol of craftsmanship and tradition.
The dragon-themed decorated tsuba adds a touch of mythical elegance, with intricate detailing that brings the design to life and symbolizes strength, power, and good fortune.
The tsuka features authentic black rayskin inlay with your choice of white or black cotton ito, wrapped with hishigami for an extremely tight and well-fitted grip.
