Miyamoto Musashi Iaito
Miyamoto Musashi Iaito
An iaito is a Japanese sword designed for training and practice, serving as a precursor to using a katana. It resembles a katana in appearance but is blunted and lacks a sharp edge, making it safer for beginners to handle as they progress in their martial arts training.
Inspired by the double ringed iron tsubas of Miyamoto Musashi, this iaito is forged in 1050 carbon steel with heat treatment. Blade offers a lighter weight, good balance, and speed to produce the proper-sounding hasuji. Blunt Edge offers security for iaido and Battōjutsu practice. Full tang construction and double-pegged for safety. Tuskamaki with hishigami provides a very tight and full feeling to provide good protection when drawing the sword.
