Momoyama Period Samurai Armor
Momoyama Period Samurai Armor
The Momoyama period in Japan, which spanned from approximately 1573 to 1615, was a pivotal and dynamic era in Japanese history marked by significant political, social, and cultural changes. Armor became more elaborate and decorative, reflecting the increased stability and prosperity of the period. Samurai, especially higher-ranking ones, began to emphasize the artistic aspects of their armor. While traditional armor materials like iron and leather continued to be used, more attention was given to the aesthetics of the materials, and additional decorative elements were incorporated. This armor perfectly encapsulates that period through its functional needs of a warrior but also its decorative nature simultaneously making this armor a work of art.

Measuring Instructions:
Required Measurements: Waist Circumference, Chest Circumference, Height & Weight
Please measure with a tailor's tape measure (soft tape measure).
For waist circumference use a tailor’s tape measure (or soft tape measure) and place the end of the tape at your belly button, and wrap straight around until the other side finishes again at your belly button. The soft tape measure should be snug not tight around your waist. This is your waist circumference.
For chest measurement wrap the soft tape measure underneath your armpits at the widest part of your chest. Again this measurement should be snug, not tight.
