The Sea Dragon Katana features a 1060 high-carbon steel blade, fully hardened through oil tempering. The blade undergoes a meticulous 12-step hand-polishing process, creating a mirror-like surface. It is designed with long BO-Hi on each side, reducing weight and providing audible feedback when swung, while enhancing balance for optimal performance. The tsuka is tightly wrapped with black synthetic silk ito over blue genuine SAMEGAWA (ray skin), secured with double bamboo pegs. The menuki display a dragon motif, and the tsuba is a round, blackened alloy piece featuring a sea dragon design. The saya is finished in a stunning blue gloss that extends the full length of the scabbard, and the sageo is made of synthetic silk.
