Shobu Zukuri Musashi Katana
Shobu Zukuri Musashi Katana
Miyamoto Musashi, one of the most renowned swordmasters in Japanese history, fought in over 60 duels before retiring to write his famous treatise on swordsmanship, the "Book of Five Rings."
This high-end katana is a tribute to the legacy of Miyamoto Musashi, making it an exceptional choice for both collectors and cutting enthusiasts.
The blade features a suguha (straight) hamon, beautifully emphasized through hand polishing to create a prominent finish. It has a full tang structure secured with double pegs for reliability.
The tsuba features two simple, interconnected rings, symbolizing Musashi’s famous Niten Ichi-ryu (Two Heavens, One School) dual-sword technique. This minimalistic design emphasizes practicality over decoration, reflecting Musashi’s utilitarian philosophy.
The tsuka is wrapped with high-quality cotton ito (available in multiple color options) and features tsukamaki with hishigami for a precise, tight, and geometric finish, with authentic same (rayskin) inlay.
The saya is crafted with a glossy finish and adorned with a beautiful pattern.
