Shobu Zukuri Musashi Katana

This katana is inspired by Miyamoto Musashi, one of the best-known swordsmen in Japanese history and the author of The Book of Five Rings.

The blade features a suguha hamon, giving it a clean, traditional look. It is hand-polished to bring out the temper line and is built with a full tang secured by two pegs.

The tsuba uses a simple two-ring design associated with Musashi and his Niten Ichi-ryu style. The understated fittings keep the overall look practical and restrained.

The tsuka is wrapped with high-quality cotton ito and genuine same-gawa (rayskin). Hishigami are used during the tsukamaki process to help keep the wrap tight and even.

The saya has a glossy patterned finish that complements the simple fittings and gives the sword a more refined appearance.
